    for Proposal Submission Questions

    How do I submit an RFP?

    RFP’s are only accepted through our online submission. Our RFP submission is currently closed.

    What is the deadline for submitting an RFP?

    The deadline for submitting an RFP was September 19, 2008. Early submissions were accepted until August 15, 2008. Regular RFP submissions were accepted from August 16th to September 19th.

    When will I hear if my submitted workshop proposal was accepted?

    Early submissions will be notified by mid-September of their proposal status. Regular submissions will be notified by mid-October of their proposal status.

    How will my RFP be reviewed?

    Your workshop proposal will be reviewed by a selection committee of afterschool professionals, stakeholders and leaders. Using a SCORING RUBRIC the committee will assess your proposal to see that it fits the theme goals and outcomes of this year’s convention.

    Can I promote a product in my workshop?

    No. All workshops should be strictly educational in nature. Any selling, endorsing or promoting of a product is unacceptable. If you are interested in promoting a product please click here to learn how you can be an exhibitor at the 2009 NAA Convention.

    What are the 2009 NAA convention workshop themes?

    When will I know the time, date and room assignment for my workshop?

    Workshop blocks will be held April 2-4, 2009. Once the schedule has been finalized you will be notified of the specifics.

    Does NAA provide any stipend or travel reimbursement to presenters for the convention?

    No. NAA is unable to provide travel reimbursement for presenters or participants to attend the convention. However, lead presenters will receive a discounted registration rate of $125.

    Does NAA provide AV?

    NAA will provide a flip chart and markers in each workshop room. They will also provide an AV cart, power cord and screen or white wall for presentations. Information on how to purchase and acquire AV is forthcoming.

    The 2010 National AfterSchool Association (NAA) Convention will take place at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center in Washington, DC. It is within 10 miles (15 minutes) of Reagan National Airport (DCA), 35 miles (45 minutes) of Dulles Airport (IAD) and 38 miles (45 minutes) of the Baltimore-Washington Airport (BWI).
